Dispensary Team Leader

POSITION SUMMARY
Dispensary of Watertown Team Leader is responsible for leading through all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the retail facility. You will participate in the ongoing strategic planning, implementation, and fulfillment of department goals and directives. The Dispensary Team Leader will develop and maintain a high-performing team with a focus on compliance. This position requires a passion for process excellence, a drive for results, and the ability to lead and influence. The Dispensary Team Leader is responsible for aiding in overseeing the financial success of the store and responding to business needs by strategizing around business trends to drive profitable sales growth.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
● Oversees all facility compliance; including but not limited to record keeping, product handling, cash management, and security
● Develop employee schedules based on the store’s needs, forecasting for holidays and any requested time off, ensuring adequate coverage and maximizing efficiency
● Review and approve dispensary payroll, verifying accuracy of time cards
● Participates in all aspects of hiring store staff; including accessing, recruiting, and screening
candidates
● Works closely with Store Leadership to improve customer satisfaction and exceed sales goals
● Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, and industry news
● Maintains facility maintenance and cleanliness
● Assists with training of all new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees, when
needed
● Oversees loss prevention and internal controls
● Leads facility cash handling and ensures accurate record keeping of cash movement
● Motivates employees through proactive leadership
● Monitors activities of store employees to minimize errors, developing and implementing
procedural updates when necessary
● Ensure that inventory is adequate and managed properly in the Dispensary’s ICS and within
Metrc
● Respond to all customer complaints, requests, concerns, or suggestions and take action when
necessary to resolve conflicts
● Delegates tasks to facility employees
● Schedules and conducts employee evaluations
● Ensure adequate visual presentation of product
● Track product performance and promotions to optimize store offerings
● Informs employees of new updates and general developments in the Company
● Helps manage inventory properly by becoming versed in the use of the Inventory Control System
and Electronic Verification System
● Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with
state and local laws and regulations, established company policies and procedures
● Provides training and ongoing support to Store Leadership Team to ensure success within their
roles
● Supervises Dispensary staff during assigned shifts
● Additional tasks as assigned by Director of Retail Operations

REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times a day
● Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations by supervising the Dispensary a minimum
of 40 hours per week, including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts
● Maintain an understanding of state and local cannabis laws and regulations and how they apply
to the operations of the Company
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment while demonstrating
excellent oral and written communication skills
● Attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to multitask

Salary Range: $35,000-$50,000+

Inventory Management Team

POSITION SUMMARY
The INVENTORY MANAGEMENT TEAM bears the custodial responsibility for the physical stock of finished goods inventory in the dispensary. In that regard, the inventory team will regularly cross check the physical quantities with the Leaf Logix system quantities and employ best inventory control practices that ensure that these quantities are aligned. The inventory management team reports directly to the Dispensary Team Leader but may be asked to provide support to other departments as well.
Because our stores depend on Inventory Management Team’s presence to operate, punctuality and the ability to work a complete scheduled shift in the assigned store on a regular, predictable basis is an essential function of this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Arrive at work on time for scheduled shifts and engage positively with customers and associates throughout the duration of the scheduled shift
● Comply with the company’s attendance policy
● Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all areas of the facility, making sure all
inventory is put away, secured and the area cleaned. Maintaining areas that they are up to
OSHA and compliance codes
● Receive and enter new product into the system
● Participate in the flow of physical stock for order processing
● Communicate and maintain that Promo, Testers, and To Be Destroyed items are in their
proper containers, areas, and are correctly accounted for in the Leaf Logix system
● Provide all inventory adjustment information for input by others in a fashion acceptable to the
state
● Make internal quantity checks weekly, focusing on lots with high quantity and/or high
transaction volumes
● Provide regular reporting as required by internal operations and state requirements
● Lend assistance as needed to other departments
● Ensure product is stocked on the sales floor and ready for purchase
● Ensure that Metrc ID tags are located with the correct product within the vault, and sales
floor at all times
● Special projects as assigned
● Maintaining up to date and accurate information for product menus within the store
● Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
● Understanding and knowledge of Cannabis products
● Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Cannabis Compliance Board
and company policies in the areas he/she operates
● Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibility
● Must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check
● Must be authorized to work in the United States
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
● Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds, occasionally

Dispensary Intake

POSITION SUMMARY

The DISPENSARY INTAKE Position is the initial first point of contact for our Dispensaries. So, you set the tone! It is imperative that all patients and customers are greeted, both in-person and over-the-phone, with a positive and warm welcome. Must have strong customer service skills, a great outgoing attitude, along with a stellar work ethic. The Intake team member is also responsible for the cleanliness of the front desk and lobby area.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with patients and customers on-site and over the phone by having an optimistic attitude and welcoming personality
● Process-in patients and customers by validating identification and enter information securely entered in our POS system
● Operate front desk responsibilities such as answering phones, emails, checking-in patients, and updating patient files
● Provide all new patients/customers with a brief explanation of services
● Become well-educated with all cannabis products offered and/ or be willing to learn
● Must be educated on all marijuana and products offered
● Manage all visitor access of vendors, contractors, etc., partnered with the Store Manager
or Assistant Manager
● Act as liaison to all departments on security needs
● Motivated to learn and execute new tasks during downtime
● All other duties as assigned

Cannabis Consultant (Budtender)

POSITION SUMMARY

Cannabis Consultants (Budtenders) are responsible for customer experience which includes helping customers, processing the transaction, cash handling, and stellar customer service. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. As a critical part of the business operation, the Budtender will have the most interaction with the store’s patrons. Must be outgoing, passionate, and very knowledgeable on the products and cannabis. Budtenders also assist the Management Team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Continuous cannabis education including, but not limited to, knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods, cannabis culture, medical implications, efficacy, effects/high, aroma/tastes/aesthetic, state and municipal regulations for medical and recreational cannabis
● Stay apprised of any events, promotions and special and promote them with customers
● Provides quality customer service and always demonstrates professionalism
● Greets customers warmly when they enter
● Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with
state and local laws and regulations established company policies and procedures.
● Accurately record any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when
the customer/patient returns
● Attempt to obtain additional data for marketing purposes following the SOP (i.e. cellular
phone number and email address) *as permissible by state law.
● Verifying proper ID for customers/patients
● Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling
and discount application
● Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions
● Participate in inventory cycle counts accurately and in a timely manner
● Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat
workstations and well maintained displays
● Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours
● Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
● Bag, box, or wrap purchase after appropriate items are labeled in accordance with state
regulations
● Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately
● Refers to “Time to lean, time to clean” cleaning list when there is down time on the sales floor

Job Description: Full-Time, Part-Time Pay Range: $14-20 + Tips

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily performed in a dispensary setting. The working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff, vendors and customers. Work may include dealing with law enforcement and occasional State inspectors.
